The Final Step
I recently read a devotional by Max Lucado that spoke about God desire’s to have a relationship with us. God created us to have that desire. Many people have a void in their lives that they are trying to fill. Maybe it is attempting to be filled with a prestigious job, lots of stuff or influential relationships. Maybe some have turned to drugs or alcohol, sex or other things. See, many people will do anything and everything to take that emptiness away, to numb the pain even if it is just for a few moments.
I believe that God is the only one that can take that pain and emptiness away. If there were 1,000 steps between us and God, He would walk all of them but one. We need to take that final step, it is our choice. If you are hurting today and you have tried and tried to drown out the pain you are feeling and it’s not working, may I suggest to you that you take that final step towards the Lord. Allow Him to give you the peace and comfort that you have been searching for.
Psalm 145:18 tells us that “The Lord is near to all who call on Him; to all who call on Him in truth.??? The Lord is very near today just call on him and take that final step. It is one step you will NEVER regret taking.
THE CHOICE IS YOURS WILL YOU TAKE IT?
