Peace in the Storm
The reason for starting After the Miracle was to help encourage women who are hurting and women who are going through a tough time. Every woman has a story to tell. No matter what your story is, it is important. Think about a trial you have gone through recently and are coming out of. How did you feel when you were going through that trial? How do you feel now?
Let me share with you something that I have learned during my trials and I hope that it will encourage you in yours.
Think of taking a walk through the woods. You are walking and get smacked in the face with a branch and then your arm gets stuck to a thorn bush that tears open your skin and stings a bit. You twist your ankle in a hole that you fall in and then you reach the point where you just want to sit down and be done with this walk. Just as you are about to give up you see the most beautiful sunset or rainbow or maybe a breathtaking view from a top of a mountain. What is it that would have made this walk worth while for you?
I think that our journey with the Lord is very similar to this. We go through life and hit a trial that completely disrupts our life and we feel like we are getting beat up and hurt each step that we take. We struggle and each day is so difficult but when we persist in our prayer life and allow God to strengthen us we will come through and God will give us the amazing gift of peace in the midst of our storms. We need to continue in our journey with the Lord and every time that we face a trial in our lives it will be easier for us to turn to him and find peace in the midst of our trials and our storms. So if you are facing a trial today let me encourage you to keep on and be persistent in your prayer time with the Lord. He is able to give you the peace that you desire in the midst of your storm.
