How Big is Your God?
How big are your dreams or goals in life? How big are your problems or worries in life? Do they seem too big for you? Do you think that there is no way that your dreams could ever come true or your problems could ever be fixed?
How big is your God? Is He bigger than your dreams? Is He bigger than your problems?
When you ask people to talk about how big God is you oftentimes hear them talk about the awesomeness of God in a very distant way. They acknowledge that he is infinite and eternal and omniscient and omnipotent in the world. They see God as this magnificent being over all of time and all of humanity.
When you look at God in your personal life, do you see Him as just as big? Do you still see Him as an awesome, majestic force?
When we really examine who God is and how big He is, we need to see Him as big in the world and as big in our individual, day to day lives. We need to see His majesty and splendor in the larger world and in our intimate existences. He is big enough to have created the entire world and He is big enough to solve your big and small problems.
As you look at the problems in your life and at the dreams that you hold, remember today that the all-wise creator of the universe is also intimately involved in your day to day life. Call on Him to help you with your struggles, your fears, your dreams and your needs (big or small). He is a God who fills the heaven and earth and who is far away handling the universe and also nearby in your intimate experiences. That is how big your God is. Call on Him today.
