Seek Him Daily
Do you have daily quiet time with the Lord? Time where you can get to know Him better, listen to His words for your life, and strengthen yourself to face your day?
I have heard a lot of folks offer suggestions for how to fit quiet time into your day. Several have suggested that you find a set time each day that you schedule for it. Others have suggested that you have a specific place in your house or elsewhere that you go to have quiet time. I’ve read suggestions about having pencil and paper nearby to write notes, to write Bible verses on notecards to carry throughout your day, and repeat your verses out loud a set number of times before leaving your quiet time. And, these are all good suggestions. But, ultimately, it is just important that you find some way to have a dedicated time with the Lord.
I have found in my life that my daily quiet time with the Lord is not just a luxury that I fit into my day when I have extra time. It is essential to my daily living. It is the time that I can sit quietly, read the Bible, and listen to God. It is also the time that I set aside to truly think about issues that I may have in my life and present them to God for clarity. And, like many busy women, if I don’t sit quietly, I will not be able to truly listen to God and then I won’t find that clarity.
Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” Don’t give God the leftover time you have in your day. Give Him priority. Seek Him with all your heart. And when you do so, you will find Him.
