Today's Devotional Thought

Look around your life right now and ask yourselves: Who am I impacting?
Jesus calls us to impact others for Him. We are supposed to love others and show them what Jesus looks like by our behaviors. But, have you ever stopped to think about the people who you have an impact on? And, going further, what your impact looks like?
We are all having an impact on someone else’s life. Maybe it is our children, our spouses, our friends, people in our church, people at work, or just random individuals who we encounter day to day. But, we all impact someone else’s life. When you look at the individuals who you have an impact on, are you satisfied with the impact you are making? Are you loving them, giving to them, and filling them up the way that Christ has called us to do? Are you modeling the love of Christ in these people’s lives?
If you are not impacting others in the way that you would like to, then why is it?
When we look at making an impact in other people’s lives, it is so important that we are filled with God’s love if we are going to impact them in the way that we’re called to do. And, the only way we can become filled with God’s love is to spend time with Him. Read His word, spend time in prayer, and ask God to fill you with the love and strength to give, love, and minister to others in the way that He has called us to do.
Do you want to have a full and mighty impact on the others in your life? Then spend time in God’s word and ask Him to fill you with the Holy Spirit so that you can notice the needs around you and fully minister to others. Love others fully by going to the source and being filled with the love of God. Only then will you be able to fully impact others.
