Verse of the Day

"Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the lamb, and his bride has prepared herself. She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear. For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people."

Our Royal Wedding

Early this past Friday people everywhere were watching the royal wedding. Rachel and I were up very early wearing our tiaras and commenting on everything that we saw and heard. We thought Kate’s wedding dress was beautiful and we laughed and dreamed of my daughter one day marrying royalty and us being able to wear one of those big hats. They were beautiful!!

As I reflected over the weekend about that wedding and how caught up everyone was in watching, it led me to think about the bride of Christ. When you stop to think about it, we are all royalty. One day, we will meet our bridegroom and have the biggest marriage supper ever. Kate and William’s wedding may have been beautiful and everything perfect, but stop and think about how much more perfect our wedding day will be when we meet Jesus in the sky and live forever with Him. No more pain, no more sadness, no more tears and no more sickness. Can William promise that to Kate? No he can not! They may live in a gorgeous palace and have servants waiting on them, but we will live in mansions and walk on streets of gold. We will live in a world that is beyond anything that we can even imagine.

It was nice to celebrate and watch a royal wedding, but I have to say ladies, it is even more exciting to think about the fact that one day we will be that bride, dressed in fine linen, meeting her bridegroom and living happily ever after. I am not sure if William and Kate will live happily ever after, but I can guarantee you that we WILL and it will last FOREVER.

Girlfriends, just remember today that you ARE royalty. You are the daughter of the King!

Memorize this verse today:

"Let us be glad and rejoice, and let us give honor to him. For the time has come for the wedding feast of the lamb, and his bride has prepared herself. She has been given the finest of pure white linen to wear. For the fine linen represents the good deeds of God’s holy people."
~Revelation 19:7-9
