Today's Devotional Thought

Fight On Sisters
Please forgive the brevity of today’s devotion, but we are feverishly preparing for the She Speaks conference this week, preparing our families to be taken care of while we are gone, and also trying to get a little downtime in before we leave. Today, in fact, Wendy and I are spending the day together to prayerfully prepare for the conference and everything God has for us.
But, I wanted to share something that Beth Moore posted yesterday on her Wednesdays with Beth facebook page. It really en-couraged my heart and I hope it does yours too. This is what she posted:
"Throw your shoulders back, pull out your sword and slice the wind because it is time to fight like you mean it."
I just love that God sent me that yesterday. You see sometimes in life, there are times where you just have to fight. Fight through the self doubt. Fight through your weariness. Fight through the criticism or opposition that you may be feeling from others. Fight Satan.
What is it in your life that you need to fight for right now? Maybe, God is asking you to fight for a dream he has given you. Maybe God is asking you to fight for a cause that has gotten little attention. Maybe God is asking you fight for a loved one. Whatever it is, if God has given it to you to do, then you must do it. And, I guarantee you that in your completion of whatever it is, you will face opposition. And that opposition comes from Satan and may reveal itself in any number of forms. But you will have to fight it.
But you know what’s great? You aren’t fighting it alone. You are fighting it with God’s sword. The Sword of the Spirit in fact! Fight your doubts, your weariness, and any opposition that Satan throws at you with God’s Word, the very Sword that he has given us to slice through the air and fight like you mean it!
Sweet friends, we’re in a fight. And God will be victorious. And right now, in your life, it is time to throw your shoulders back, pull out that Sword and slice the wind because it is time to fight like you mean it.
