My Story is a Letter
What does Christ's letter say about you? Does it tell people that you are a servant of Jesus? Does it tell those around you that you are living a life transformed? We don't carry letters around that tell others our story. That would be silly. It is the life that we choose to live that very clearly shows and tells others who we are and what we stand for.
Rachel and I have written a bible study entitled "My Story" and this verse is used in the study. When we chose it we desired for women to see that their life is their story that God can use as a beautiful letter to be read by everyone we come in contact with. We can tell others of the miraculous way God saved us from the pit. How He rescued us from insecurities, fears, doubts, addictions and the list goes on and on. You see what people want to know is what Jesus has done for us. They want to see it and when they see a life changed, truly changed because of Jesus, then they have come in contact with a Jesus they quite honestly may have never met.
Rachel and I have said it before that the society we are living in is experiencing "Jesus fatigue." Everyone knows about Jesus. And quite frankly some are just tired of hearing about Him. However, when we introduce them to the reality of our Jesus and what he has done for us. That my friend, is a different approach and one that I know will bring people to Jesus.
Every single one of us has a story to tell. Are you asking God to show you each day who needs to hear your story? You may think your story isn't all that important and I use to think that until the Lord used my story one night while I was working out at the gym. He literally placed someone right beside me that night who just needed to hear my story and she thanked me over and over again and told me that it was no accident that God had me right there at that time. I told the Lord that night that I would use my story and I would use the experiences I have had in my life to help others that He places in my path.
Every single person reading this today needs to understand that nothing in your story surprises God and He knows who needs to hear your story. So listen to Him today and be obedient to share it with those he places in your path.
