Verse of the Day

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."

~Isaiah 40:29-31

Renewed Strength

I am sure today's verse is familiar to many reading this today. I'm sure many have quoted it on those days when we needed strength to face the day.

In verse 30, we see that even the youth grow tired and weary; they stumble and fall. Those of us who are older look at our youth and view them as strong and vibrant, but these verses tell us how even the youth among us have weakness and can't do things on their own. Reading these verses, all of us should see that those who hope or wait on the Lord will find their strength. Not only that, but they will soar through terrible circumstances, they will run and not grow weary in the challenges of life, and they will walk through life and not faint. God is very aware of what each one of us is facing today. He knows that we are weary in the midst of life's circumstances and that we are in need of His strength. Ladies, let me reassure you that God has more than enough strength to give us not only today but every day. We have to hope in Him and wait on Him. When we are waiting on Him it means that we live expectantly and confidently that He will do what He has promised and these verses promise us that He will give us strength.

Next let's look at the word "renew." It means "to exchange." Like taking off something old and putting on something new that has been given to us. We give Him our weakness and He gives us His strength.

That is a pretty sweet deal.

My prayer is that you will give all your weakness to Jesus, lay them at His feet. In turn receive his strength. Allow Him to give you wings like eagles to soar through your circumstances, allow Him to strengthen you to face the challenges of life so that you don't grow weary. We can't walk this journey on our own; we NEED God's strength each and every day!!

Ladies, we don't always have to be soaring through life. It is simply about being faithful to Him and allowing Him to guide us, whether that is through soaring, running or walking.

Memorize this verse today:

"He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
~Isaiah 40:29-31
