Verse of the Day

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."

Spirit of the Season

So, things have been pretty busy here for your After the Miracle team. For the past two weeks, both of us have had something to do every day (and oftentimes multiple things on a day). We have had Christmas parties, Christmas programs, school functions, shopping, and family responsibilities each and every day. And, Wendy and I have found ourselves pretty worn out. We have both been blessed beyond comprehension by all of the events and the people we have shared them with. But, our bodies are tired.

And, it is a good tired.

Last night was the first night in over two weeks that I did not have an event to attend. And, my husband, kids, and I watched movies all night. Truth be told, I had my PJs on at 6pm and did not leave the couch all evening. It was fantastic!

As I sat there relaxing, my heart was so full as I reflected on the busyness of the past two weeks. There have been moments that it has been very tiring and very busy. But in each one of the events, there have been such sweet moments of feeling God's love and the true meaning of the Season. And I just thank God for that today.

I truly hope that you have had a good Christmas season. And, I pray that you have been able to meet God in a powerful way through the various events. If you have not, then I urge you to pray that God would help you find him in the middle of all of the events, programs, parties, and shopping. And I urge you to find some time to rest and ask God to fill you with his Spirit of the Season.

Today, I feel very blessed. Tired. But, blessed. And I thank God that I have felt his Spirit this Christmas season.

Memorize this verse today:

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
~Isaiah 9:6
