Verse of the Day

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end."

Not an Emergency

How do you live life? Savoring every moment? Or racing through your day like life is an emergency? Something that has to be sped through, accomplished, completed.

Wendy and I are currently reading One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp with the ladies of our church. I am only a few chapters into it, but I have to say that it is changing my perspective in terms of what I focus on in my day. My personality and my current season of life can very easily lead me to living life in a fast paced way. As I look at the things I have to accomplish each day, I can very easily speed through my day. Running from one thing to the next as if life is an emergency.

But, life is not an emergency.

Life is sweet and good and full of beautiful moments to be savored.

But, I have to slow down to savor them.

I am sure Wendy and I will share more as we continue reading. I want to leave you with a short video today on this very theme. I hope you enjoy this video and please savor the gifts that the Lord has given you to enjoy today.

Memorize this verse today:

"He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end."
~Ecclesiastes 3:11
