My Hiding Place
There are days when we feel like we are being hit on every side. We get that phone call from the doctor with a diagnosis that hits us square between the eyes. We get bad news about someone we love. We are faced with a situation that will change our lives. So the question is will we trust God in those moments?
Psalm 32:7 says, You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance. He is our hiding place. When I think about hiding, it takes me back to being a child and playing hide and go seek. You wanted to find the best hiding place so that you would not be found. You would search and search and jump into it at the last minute and sure enough you had found it, the best hiding place ever.
The best place we can be when troubles come is the perfect hiding place, in the Lord Jesus Christ. How many of you right now remember a time when you were in the pit and you felt like you just could not get out and the only thing you could do is cry out to God. And in that moment it was as if he filled you with songs that wrapped themselves around you as though God were hugging you himself. Music is powerful it has a way of speaking to the soul and bringing healing, at least it has for me throughout my journey with the Lord.
Sweet friend, I don't know what you are facing today, but I do know that God is your deliverer. He sees what you are going through and He loves you. He will walk with you and see you through your troubled times. He will give you songs of deliverance to sing and He will give you the endurance needed to face whatever it is you are facing in life today. I want to pray for you today because I know that many who will read this are searching and crying out for deliverance from problems and pain.
I pray for my dear sisters today, that they will feel your presence in the midst of their sorrow, pain, or uncertainty in life. I pray dear Lord that you will fill their hearts with songs of deliverance, that they will know and feel that you are near and that you love them and havenít forgotten about what they are facing in their life right now.
Thank you Lord for always being there, for always loving us, for being our source of strength and our refuge in times of troubles. In Your Son's name I pray, Amen
