Victory in Jesus

Do you need a victory? Is there some area of your life that you feel defeated in and just need to feel like you can "win" in that area?

Over the weekend, I attended a Beth Moore conference and I have returned feeling so empowered. Many of you are probably familiar with Beth Moore's story. In a nutshell, she is a woman who claims to be living proof of the power of Jesus. She comes from a history of abuse and poor decision making and she speaks often of the pit that she spent much of her life in.

And in every breath that she shares her background, she also shares emphatically how Jesus saved her from it. She is one who believes in the power of Jesus Christ because she has seen his powerful victory in her own life. A life that felt very defeated from her earliest memory, but one that she turned over to Jesus and watched him heal her hurts.

Have you experienced the victory of Jesus in your life? Do you have an area of your life that needs some serious divine victory?

We all have areas that feel hopeless and in need of some victory. And, if you have been walking with Jesus for a while, then I am sure you also have a story of victory that could just bring you to tears.

I know I have seen the victory of Jesus in my own life. I have seen his power over death in a very real way and I know how Jesus is victorious over death. But even beyond Jesus' victory over my daughter's probably death, I have seen his victory in many other areas of my life.

Financial worries.

Physical health.

There are countless areas of my life that I have seen Jesus be victorious when I turned them over to him and watched him work. Areas that felt so hopeless and areas that I could cry just thinking about, that when turned over to Jesus, became areas of great victory. A victory that makes me want to jump up and down and praise Jesus all day long.

Do you have areas of your life that you need victory in?

Maybe you are trying to be more godly in your reactions to others and you need Jesus to help you be victorious in your responding. Maybe you have a relationship that needs healing. Maybe you have a deep insecurity or hurt from your past that is keeping you captive and you want Jesus to free you from it's grip. Maybe you have a physical illness that needs healing.

Whatever the area, Jesus can be victorious. In fact, Jesus wants to be victorious in it.

You just have to turn it over to him. Sweet friends, I beg you to seek that victory. Pray about it daily. Read Scripture daily related to that area. And, believe in Jesus' power to be victorious in that situation.

Oh girlfriends, I have seen it happen. In my own life and in the lives of those I know and love, I have seen great victory over areas that seemed hopeless. We have such victory in Jesus. And, I beg you to turn your seemingly hopeless situation over to him and sing in victory today.

Let me share a song with you to help you claim the victory we have in Jesus. Turn it up loud, sing it boldy, and girlfriends, feel empowered in that victory today.

Memorize this verse today:

"But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."
