Incomprehensible Peace
More than any other point in my life, I am so aware of how hard life is. As I meet and talk to women on this journey, I hear so many stories of struggle, pain, and heartache. I hear of betrayals and grievous wrongs that leave us injured and broken. I hear of diagnoses and illnesses that require waiting and testing that leave us scared and uncertain of the future. I hear of important relationships that are strained or hurtful that leave us hurt and incomplete.
There are so many situations in our lives that need the hand of God. So many situations that will require waiting while God works. So many situations that need peace in the waiting.
This morning, the Lord sent me a verse that is going to be my new prayer for all of the women in my life that are struggling with something. Something that needs God's touch and something that will take some time to heal. And the verse is Philippians 4:7:
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
I am big proponent of praying Scripture and as I look around, I realize that peace is exactly what those I love need when they are traveling though life's valleys. And, this verse is my prayer for anyone waiting for God's touch in a situation they are dealing with.
I have prayed it over all of those I love this morning and I pray it over you too. While I may not know what it is that you are going through, I do know that God can heal, restore, redeem, and grant the peace necessary for you to walk towards his will in your situation. I pray that you will feel that peace today and I pray that you will wake up one morning and not even recognize the person you are because of the immense peace that you have. A peace that transcends understanding from a God who far transcends understanding.
There are so many situations in our lives that need the hand of God. So many situations that need peace in the waiting. Peace be with you all today my friends.
