Year Verse

I have a verse for 2013. In fact, I am starting the year by memorizing it. I ran across this verse towards the end of 2012 and I absolutely love it and believe it is the lens that I need to view everything through.

For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. (Hebrews 13:14, NLT).

Do you have a verse for 2013? I recommend you select a verse, memorize it, and recite it throughout the year when you encounter problems, insecurities, stumbling blocks, or hurdles of any kind. You see, I so firmly believe in the power of Scripture to empower us to live victoriously in this world. We can so easily get swept under without it.

And I don't know about you, but I don't want to spend any time swept under in 2013. Victory is ours for the taking and we need to equip ourselves to take it.

And you equip yourselves, sweet friends, with Scripture. Your sword of the Spirit, ready for battle.

I don't know what 2013 holds, but I do know that God will be victorious. I know that this is not our permanent home and I know that anything I endure in 2013 will pale in comparison to the glory of God and the place in eternity with him that awaits. And I know that I can endure anything knowing that I have an eternal home to look forward to.

What's your verse for 2013? I highly recommend you find a verse that can be the lens through which you approach 2013.

Be blessed dear friends in this new year. And know that God loves you so very much and he is waiting with such rich anticipation to lead you through this year. All the way through to victory.

Memorize this verse today:

"For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come."
~Hebrews 13:14
