Overcomer

Every now and then, we all need a little boost of encouragement to keep on going. And, I have a couple of songs that I put on {and sing with all I have} on those days when I am worn and tempted to feel defeated.

Today, I want to share one of them with you. I have a feeling there is someone out there that is in a situation that feels hopeless. And, you may not feel like there is any way out of it.

Can I remind you today that you are an overcomer? Because of the power of Jesus, who overcame death, one day you too will overcome this world and all of the problems in it, and be celebrating victoriously in heaven. And you can live in that victory and that hope even today, amid the problems that swirl all around us, by focusing on that victory we all have in Christ.

And by focusing on the fact that YOU are an overcomer! Here are a couple of verses to remind you of that fact today:

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world - our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (I John 5:4-5)

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. (Romans 8:37)

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. (James 1:12)

Happy Wednesday. May you feel God's grace, strength, and victory today.

Memorize this verse today:

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."
~Romans 8:37
