Pray for Your Pastor & His Wife
Yesterday, I told you all that I plan on devoting some time this week to the importance of appreciating, loving, and praying for those in spiritual leadership. We are currently in Pastor Appreciation Month and this past Sunday was Pastor Appreciation Sunday.
I have such a heart for those in ministry and over the last few years, I have been so compelled to pray for my pastor and his wife as they lead together. In fact, I believe that there is truly nothing better you can do for your pastor and his wife than pray for them.
Pray for them as individuals. Pray for their marriage. Pray for their family. Pray for their ministry and their leadership. Pray a hedge of protection around them. Pray for God's strength, love, favor, and wisdom to just rain down on them.
A couple of years ago, I wrote a small book of prayers to pray for your pastor's wife. And, in writing it, I realized all of the areas of the lives of pastors and their wives that need prayer by us. They are on the front lines of battle for us and with us.
And they need our prayer.
Today, I urge you to pray for your pastor and his wife throughout your day. Lift up requests all day long on their behalf as they serve the Lord faithfully today.
