Today's Devotional Thought

You are Loved
It was a pretty bad day. It seemed that everything that could go wrong was. Attacks were coming from the enemy from all sorts of unexpected directions.
There had been some very good moments in the day, but overall, the day was a battle that wore me down. And I fell onto my bed at the end of it and started to cry.
And then out of the corner of my eye, I caught a plaque with the words, "You are loved" on it.
I smiled, although I really didn't feel loved at that moment.
But, I knew it was true. I knew I was loved by my family and friends. And more than anything I knew I was loved by God.
But, I didn't feel it at that moment.
I wanted to feel it. But, I just didn't.
So that is when I decided to go to the source so I could feel loved.
Recently I bought a box of prayer cards. They have all sorts of topics and one of the topics is God's unfailing love. And, one by one, I started going through the cards.
And the tears really began to fall as I read of God's great love for his people.
And specifically for me.
Exactly what I needed after a really hard-on-the-heart day.
Friends, on those days that you feel unloved or unlovable, I urge you to go to the source of everlasting, faithful, and complete love. Go to God's Word and ask him to help you meditate on his unfailing love. Trust me, he can fill you like nothing or no one else can. And his unfailing love is what will get you through this life.
Meditate on it. Immerse yourself in God's Word. And feel loved today.
