Verse of the Day

"We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed."

~2 Corinthians 4:8-9

We Will Not Be Destroyed

There are days that many us of feel that we are at the end of our rope. We are facing things that we think no human can possibly endure or get through. Today, I have some good news ladies. We weren’t meant to face things on our own. We were meant to face them with our Savior and through His strength. One of my favorite verses has become when I am weak He is strong (II Corinthians 12:10). I love how when we are faced with what we see as the impossible, God is right there telling us that He will not abandon us in our time of need and He will carry us through.

Satan hates that we are living for God and making a difference wherever we are in life. I believe that he will do whatever he can to distract us from believing in ourselves and in the plan that God has for us. When Satan begins to distract us, that is when I think we begin feeling perplexed because he loves whispering things into our ears that will confuse us and create doubt. Being God’s child gives us some wonderful benefits and one of those is that Satan can’t crush us or drive us to despair. When we call on our heavenly Father, he is there to protect us and give us strength and hope and encouragement He is there protecting us from the evil one.

Oh I know that there are days when you are feeling crushed and like you are in a pit of despair. May I remind you ladies that Christ was victorious over death and that we have eternal life and that when we face those trials, humiliations or painful circumstances, it is then that Christ can demonstrate his power and presence in our lives. I’ve learned that there are many people around us that watch to see how we will respond to the trials we face. If we profess that Jesus is our Lord and we live like someone who has no hope then we are compromising our testimony. We have to show that we are different. That we are a people who have hope and a faith in their God to know that He will carry us through any and every trial and circumstance that we face in this life.

If I were standing before you today and I asked you this question what would you say: Was there ever a time that God wasn’t there for you? Take your time answering that ladies. We have all faced dark days I am sure. And I have questioned God. But when I look back, I see God’s hand every time. Things didn’t always turn out like I thought they should, but I knew that God had everything under control and that his way was the best way for my life.

Find hope in these verses today. We serve a God who is there for us every day. He sees our pain and our hurts. This world might knock us down, but it will never destroy us and He will never abandon us. Find comfort in that today, no matter what you are facing.

Memorize this verse today:

"We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed."
~2 Corinthians 4:8-9
