I Saw God Today
The first night I was ever in my little small town, I was overwhelmed with the blanket of stars that filled the June sky. I laid back and looked up as millions of small lights filled the dark space from as far as I could see left to as far as I could see right. I honestly had never seen anything like it. It was simply breathtaking and I felt God all around. And he spoke to me very powerfully through that beautiful display of his splendor.
I saw God that night and it changed my life.
When was the last time you saw God or felt His presence? Do you remember a time when a breathtakingly beautiful sunset took your breath away? Or when the sight of newborn baby warmed your heart to the presence of the Almighty? Or when a song moved you to tears as you felt God just fill your body and soul?
God is all around us.
He is in the big and small wonders of the world. He is in the sparkling stars. He is in the innocence of a newborn baby. He is in the melody of praise song written to worship him. He is in the words of a friend who loves us and believes in us. He is in the hummingbird who buzzes around our kitchen window in the Springtime.
He can be seen everywhere.
Sometimes, however, we are running a million miles an hour, consumed in this world's pain, hurt, and stress and we simply do not take time to notice His presence. We do not notice the stars, the music, or the beauty of God all around us. But, He is there and He is waiting to take your breath away.
Take time today or tonight and look for God. Pause and ask Him to fill you with His mighty presence so that you can be awed again. Tell him you want to see him today, in the big and small ways.
He is waiting to awe you with his presence, his splendor, and his love. See him today.
