"Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

Find Us Faithful
What will be said about me when I leave this world?
Saturday evening I decided to take a walk through our small town. While walking, I decided I wanted to sit down somewhere and think about a few things that were going on in my life. The only place to sit on my walk was a bench in the cemetery. I know what you are thinking; really you sat in a cemetery? I did.
I sat there for a while and prayed and listened for God to answer. Before too long I began looking around at the various tombstones and reading them. I wondered about the people buried there. What were they like? Did they have children? Were they happy in their life? Did they accomplish great things? Were they a hard worker? Did they love Jesus? What heritage did they leave behind to those whom they loved?
I started thinking about my life. What would people say when I was gone? Would they say that I was a good wife and mother? Would they say that they saw Jesus in me and that I reflected it to others around me? Or would they say nothing? Would I leave this world making no impression on anyone?
Whew, I started praying and asking God to help me make a difference in someone's life. Let me rephrase that, I want God working through me to make a difference in someone's life.
What are you doing in your life right now that will make a difference in someone else's? Are you loving till it hurts? Are you reaching out to others and encouraging them? Do you love Jesus so much that He oozes out of you? Are you an example to your sons and daughters or your grandchildren of how a godly woman is supposed to live their life? Are you persevering in life when times get tough and clinging onto Jesus?
What do you want others to remember about you when you are gone?
I have added in a song today that I thought about the other day while roaming through the cemetery. More than anything, I want it to be said about me that I loved Jesus and loved others through Him.
Memorize this verse today:
"Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."
