In Our Tomorrows
Are you hurting today? Is that pain because of the loss of a loved one, bad news from a doctor, a disappointment in life, uncertainty about the future, or maybe it is from a deep betrayal from someone that you loved and trusted?
It can be so difficult to persevere through the pain of life that we all feel at some point. If you are like me you sometimes find yourself asking God, "Where are you in all of this?"
Well friends, Scripture tells us in Isaiah 58:11 that the Lord will always lead us. It says "The LORD will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail." Regardless of what the future holds. Regardless of what comes our way. Regardless of what will come tomorrow, the Lord will guide us always
What does that mean? I like to describe it as it means God is in our tomorrows. That he has gone before us and already knows what the future holds. He knows the pain and heartache, the trials and hardships, and everything that we will experience. And, He is waiting there to help us through all of it. I find such comfort in knowing that no matter what my tomorrows may hold the Lord is already there waiting to help me through, to wrap me in His arms of love, comfort me, and give me strength to face whatever comes.
In the words of the Psalmist, "For this God is our God for ever and ever; he will be our guide even to the end" (Psalm 48:14). Remember that today, sweet friends. No matter what the future holds, God is already there. Ready to equip us. Ready to strengthen us. And ready to guide us through it. All the way until we meet him in eternity.
