Verse of the Day

"Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."

Where is Your Hope?

What is the first thing you think or say each day when you wake up? Today’s verses are out of Psalms, written by David, and should be our daily prayer to our Lord. Each day when we wake up we are faced with decisions that we will have to make and these words should guide our thoughts.

When we look at our day and our decisions, some are easy and we make them without even thinking like…Do I make coffee this morning? (That is a given ladies!) But many other ones are harder like…how do I talk to my husband about our marriage or how do I approach my friend about the concerns that I have? These are decisions that we need to make with a lot of prayer and guidance from the Lord. And, that is why, each day, we need to pray that he will teach us and show us His ways. See, in our own knowledge and our own strength we could honestly destroy our friendships or our marriage if we don’t ask for wisdom. How many times have you tried to handle a serious situation on your own only for it blow up and you are left in tears wondering how to fix an even worse situation? Over time, I have learned to seek the Lord first and it ends better that way.

Ladies, as we journey with the Lord and as we face each new day may our prayer be Psalm 25:4-5. Memorize it, hang it up on your refrigerator and recite it over and over again. All day long our hope should be in Him. I have to tell you that as I watch the news daily and hear what is going on in this world, I am so happy that our hope is in the Lord and not in this world.

What are you facing today? Where is your hope? Do you know for sure that your hope is in Jesus Christ? If that is a question that you can’t answer yes to, then let me encourage you to bow a knee and say this verse as a prayer and also acknowledge that Jesus is the son of God that He led a sinless life and died for you and rose again on the third day. Ask Him to come and live in your heart today and to show you His truth and to guide you in the ways that only He can. If you prayed that prayer today then know that I am rejoicing with you. You are now my sister in Christ.

REMEMBER TODAY: SHOW US YOUR WAYS LORD, TEACH US AND GUIDE US IN YOUR TRUTH.

Memorize this verse today:

"Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."
~Psalm 25:4-5
