Joy
JOY: Jesus...Others...Yourself. This is what JOY is. When you place Jesus first in your life, then others, and then yourself you will find the kind of joy that you are seeking.
Through the years I have had many conversations with people who are searching for joy in their lives. They are seeking the perfect job to find it. They are searching for the perfect spouse to find it. They are throwing themselves into their kids' lives searching for joy. But somehow, they always come up short. I tell them that the only way they will find true joy is by giving Jesus his rightful place in their lives: 1st place.
How about you, what place does Jesus have in your life? Do you only think about him after you have done everything else to find joy? Do you decide to come to church and worship Him if you have time or if it fits into your schedule or your kids' schedule?
Friends, we live in a society where we are encouraged to find our joy in lots of things and we often times attempt to find it in them. But today let me encourage you to give Jesus his rightful place in your life. Enter into a loving and growing relationship with Him. Allow Him to guide your life, follow Him in obedience and serve others like His Word teaches.
This, my friends, will bring you true joy!
