Did God Really Say That?
Have you ever felt called by God to do something? And then when you start doing it, have you ever started to doubt it when it doesn’t go as you had planned or expected?
It is very easy to start doubting something when it doesn’t seem to be going the way that you expected. And, it is just as easy to start doubting one of God’s plans when things don’t seem to be going well. But, where does that doubt come from? Oftentimes, it comes from Satan.
If you read through the Bible, so often people go astray and leave God’s plans when they begin to doubt. They start thinking that maybe they heard God wrong or that they misunderstood His plans. And, oftentimes this doubt creeps in when the plan doesn’t unfold as you expect or when it is harder than you expected.
So, doubt creeps in and we start questioning what God has told us. And, those questions oftentimes come from Satan. In fact, Satan uses the same tactics today that he used in Genesis. He gets you to ask, “Did God really say that???? As we see in the story of Adam and Eve, Satan led Eve astray by getting her to doubt God’s instructions to not eat from the tree of life. He says to her in Genesis 3:1, “Did God really say….????
Just as Satan got Eve to doubt, he can cause us to doubt God’s plans in our lives too with the little phrase, "Did God really say…??? Don’t let Satan plant doubt in your mind. If you know that God has given you a plan, then do not allow Satan to cause you to doubt it. Stand firm on the knowledge that God did really say. And even when the plan seems to be going differently than planned, you can rest confident in the fact that God called you to that plan and that it will unfold according to His purpose and His direction.
Do not let Satan cause you to question God’s voice in your life. Do not listen to Satan’s lies. Instead, when you start to doubt, immerse yourself in God’s word and listen only to the voice of truth.
